An Allen-Bradley 5/40 PLC controls the Training Facility as well as the Vernon Warehouse and Offices. This system utilizes Remote I/O, which interfaces with remote input and output modules. Facility control is done with the use of remote Touch Screen MMI devices. We utilize Allen-Bradley 900 and 1400E color panel views for these functions.

The Lighting, Heating and Air Conditioning, for the Facility, are controlled with the PLC and its attached networks.

Presence Sensing is monitored with the use of infrared photoelectric sensors. These sensors reside on a DeviceNet network.

The Training Facilities computers are connected to an EtherNet network. This network along with the Remote I/O, and DeviceNet are linked through a Contrologix Gateway system. This ties all PLCs and remote devices together for Training and system control.

The facility utilizes and Satellite Link to the Rockwell Automation Corporation for the purpose of training and product introduction.
